How would I be able to keep the ‘featured image’ added, but not have it large at the top of the page. I want to add it elsewhere in the post, and my size of choosing. I have tried bits of code to add to the ‘css’ area with no success — have also tried a plugin.

      What I want:
      — ‘Featured Image’ to be added but NOT at the top. I want to insert it elsewhere in the post and size of my choosing. The problem is I found a plugin that just totally removes it so even when I add it elsewhere in that post, it shows up in the main, long form of the post, but it then does NOT show up in the abbreviated mini-post area, or the larger main page header.

      Hello,

Actually, you can disable the feature image through the theme by default for single posts and pages separately. You don’t need to any additional third party plugin for it. To disable the feature image from single post, please go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Single Post Page Options. Then click on the Disable Feature Image option.

To add the feature image in the content. we would like to recommend to disable the feature image from above option and add the image (which you want to add on feature image) directly in the editor. Being compatible with new block base editor Gutenberg, you can make your contents in any layout.

      Thanks.
